Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. What does
it mean to be "poor in spirit"? Being poor in spirit means seeing that
everything we are and everything we have belongs to god. What is the blessing
promised to those poor in spirit? Being poor in spirit lets us love and give
generously. Name two or three ways this beatitude challenges you to change the
way you live. It's hard to remember we are doing everything for god. Loving
people can sometimes be really hard because it is hard to accept them When
someone doesn't show you a lot of love or respect it's not the easiest thing to
show them respect and love. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be
comforted. What is the meaning of "mourn" in this beatitude? The
meaning of mourn in this beatitude is talking about those who ache because all
is not right with the world and also it means mourning over a loved one. How
does the ability to mourn help us be happy? The ability to mourn helps us
because we get to see the good potential as well as the bad. Int he end god will
return things to it's proper order, and everything will be good and all will be
happy. Name 2-3 ways this beatitude challenges you to change the way you live.
