Martin Luther King’s campaign on nonviolent resistance reached its historical climax in Washington,D.C. on August 28,1963. King led a march of 200,000 persons, black and white, from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial, where he delivered the unforgettable speech “I Have a Dream”. I Have a Dream is a tightly crafted piece designed to make a clear statement of policy and or philosophy and to evoke an emotional response from the audience.
