- Day ONE: 10 things about me.
Past midnight, I dragged my sore feet back into my room after a long day of rehearsals. Sitting on my desk was the stack of schoolwork I’d missed as I was on sick leave.
At the summit of the homework mountain, a Rage Face (comically drawn in red ink, and highly adorable in its anger) stared back at me from the last page of my General Paper assignment. That was the teacher’s reaction to my forgetting to complete the entire final part of the assignment.
For the first time that day, I smiled.

- Hackers
A few months ago I finished a new book, and in reviews I keep noticing words like "provocative\'\' and "controversial.\'\' To say nothing of "idiotic.\'\'
I didn\'t mean to make the book controversial. I was trying to make it efficient. I didn\'t want to waste people\'s time telling them things they already knew. It\'s more efficient just to give them the diffs. But I suppose that\'s bound to yield an alarming book.

Complex Learning Task:
The Holistic Approaches
The Whole-Task Approach
Our textbook, Trends and issues in instructional design and technology (Reiser & Dempsey, 2007), devotes much of Chapter 8 to holistic instructional design. How does this differ from other design methods? Many instructional design approaches are atomistic, where
“. . . complex contents and tasks are reduced into simpler elements” (p 73). This approach does not naturally lead to transfer of the skill set to the real w...

Benjamin Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” In my preparations for transferring to San Diego State University I need to develop an organized plan on how to pay for college. - Why Write "Trifles"?
Why did the author Susan Glaspell decide to write the play "Trifles" and then turn it into a short story called "A Jury of Her Peers"? This can be explained by Glaspell's experiences in life, the way society thought about women writers, and how they perceived women in general in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Waterman states that, Glaspell was born in 1876 and died in 1948 and when Glaspell first began writing she realized that the traditions instilled in her when she wa...

This is a brief short story I wrote for my 11th grade English class, hope you enjoy it.
The blue stars twinkled with a lustor that can only be described as remarkable, contrasting greatly with the inky skies as the full, yellow moon bathed the world in it’s magnificent glow. The air was coated with a heavy odor of briny sea water, and the sound of the restless ocean waves slamming against the stoney shore echoed throughout the small fishing village along the beaches. It was a melancholy night...

Designing goals around these concepts and measuring the goals through these qualifications makes them practical. SMART goals are the backbone of any teacher’s professional...

The word "dog" may also mean the male of a canine species,[4] as opposed to the word "bitch" for the female of the species.[5]
